I think the useless ground comment related to that which was not of the black, creek-bed type like that bearing the gold at the base of the conglomerate hillside that DEG have. Like at Wits 1 - there are pockets of gold bearing ground + lots of useless ground. DEG & ARV have some of the right ground type, but others with large tracts may not. Size of land coverage is not necessarily an indication of value.
