    Hi Farsight,

Thank you for your long and detailed response for which I am grateful.

I think you misunderstood me though.

I'm familiar with the markets and do have a strategy and a trading plan but occasionally one just stuffs it up so to speak and I did.

Yes I did take my profit this morning on my short. I'm very much into taking what the market has to offer and if it is on the table then I step up and claim it.

At the moment I've got one hell of a lot on my plate and wasn't paying enough attention this morning when I went short again not realizing it was oppie expiry and the big shots would be pushing the market.

My weak point is and has always been in setting and taking stops as generally I have found that 9/10 times if I had just waited it would have come back - so 9/10 times now I just wait till it goes back my way.

For some reason this time I feel very uncertain so that is why I posed my question as to what was the general expectation of the market at this "immediate" point in time as opposed to further down the track.

Hope this helps to clarify my situation.

This is probably not the place to do this but I was serious in my earlier comment as to whether seriously interested SPI/XJO traders would be interested in the establishment of a private chat room. I'm not sure how to do it but I can find out. It keeps the topic on the spot and saves time having to deal with the disruptive elements
