eirexpat - I feel your pain and that of many others I really do. It is very unfortunate.
I know it is too late in this situation, but for future reference, I would implore people to ALWAYS consider both sides of story.
And, really importantly, listen out for the important clues - like John Stefanac's tweet. I know it changed the way I thought about the company - in terms of becoming more circumspect and watchful. And while the thinking behind the tweet was not totally clear at the time, it did become more and more clear as the year progressed.
Growler and Archie have been particularly generous with their insights and anyone who took their views on board would not be a in a pickle now.
Just food for thought for future plays. All the pain is almost worthwhile if you learn a good lesson from it which really sticks.
