Chris is essentially right, there is initially no overburden at Goanikontes. They will be mining the TOP first you dills! Once the full JORC is complete, it will end up being a surface project of over 2.5k in length, mining down to 80m for about 50 million lbs of U, with no overburden and minimal waste. Easily 15 years of mining in that!!! Will you still own shares in BMN then?? Thy the hell worry about the next 200m then?
Lets have some rational thought shall we, do you think RIO started digging a 320m pit at Rossing??? Its taken them flaming 30 years to get there!!!

As to overburden, waste, etc etc .... it all comes down to strip ratios. Once they mine out the top 80m, yes they will have to remove that side waste you guys are refering to in order to access the sloping ore And yes, they will have to remove 20m of waste to access the next layer ... but have a look at the last deep drill results .... the layers are thickening upt to 128m in fact. Even after all of that, the strip-ratio is not only managable, it is VERY good.
No offense guys, but some of the previous thread was pathetic!! Lets keep some common sense here and doing some good research, rather than reacting to the poor information gained elsewhere
