That is quite a remarkable story. To think that back then it cost 50K but was a game changer.Your father in-law would have been at the cutting edge back in the day. 50K back then was alot of money.
I agree that "Technology knows no limits" and that is why I am so keen to keep on learning about AI and how it is being harnessed in the markets as best that I can. If you are a data scientist with a PhD in Mathematics, or Coding etc the Big Brokerage and Hedge Funds are paying enormous amounts of money to employ these people to continually improve their in house AI systems.
As a retailer in time I expect that I will have my own AI machine to work in highly liquid markets. Until then it is to keep up with the speed of change in this ever evolving space. I find it quite exciting to be on the AI sidelines watching and learning.
