Thanks. I'll check them out. The previous papers that they published on their website, which I've quoted from before, are pretty generic. The main theme of one of the previous papers was around the question of where all the gold could have come from. They postulated that rather than originating from earlier hydrothermal gold deposits in the hinterland around the basin the gold entered the basin in solutions that had been chemically weathered out of gold existing in low concentrations in the hinterland rocks ie they explain the outsized mass of gold in the WITS as originating not from gold deposits as we know them but from very low grade gold concentrations dissolved from a voluminous hinterland.

If you are buying into the WITS component of this story I think you should have an idea about how likely the story is to be true. For me a must is the existence of the micron components of the gold mineralisation or else there is actually very little similarity and you've got to start wrapping your head around a totally new style of deposit. At this stage the very coarse nature of the gold doesn't convince me that this is the next WITS. You have to start with the most important parts of the story to confirm it IMO and that's the fine gold, the iron pyrite and the urnanium minerals. After having done my research two months ago I found myself falling into the hydrothermal camp for the origin of the gold at the WITS. That theory relies specifically on the high porosity of the mineralised beds to accept fluids from the deep seated flaunts caused by large scale thrusting. The nuggets in the WITS according to the hydrothermal theory are secondary weathering reactivations of the gold emplaced through the beds by hydrothermal fluids.

If ARV/NOVO have been lucky enough to find the next WITS based on the less common component of the actual know deposits at WITS, that's very luck indeed, because the largest mass of the WITS gold is not in the form of course gold or nuggets. Esh
