The new GEL's in the Patchawarra trough lie within the area of the Cooper Basin that show some of the highest heat anomaly as shown on mapping available through the PIRSA website. This would lead me to suspect that the aquifers at below 3000m would have temperatures far above 80 C. Much higher given the high thermal gradient in the region of around 60C /km. Being able to intercept high quality resource at a shallower depth, but with still the optimum sedimentary insulating layer of 3000m is a very exciting prospect for GRK.
GDY are on the worlds largest HFR resource, no doubt. If GRK's new tenements prove what they suspect, and they have a great team of professionals to determine this, then they will be in a great position to deliver energy at a cheaper cost.
