Personally, I have found that keeping a formulated theory on what the market is likely to do is a hinderance, and doesn't allow for objective technical analysis within my trading period (usually 10-20 mins a trade)

I like to see the charts, hear the news, and then take the best estimate I can at what the herd are likely to do.

Having said that, I still like to speculate;-) the market is floundering right now, wouldn't like to be long.
