If you buy shares on market, you've also bought moral equivalence from the seller. The Seller might have bought at company foundation but now they're cashing out, it's only about money for them. They might have had a higher percent of the company for the same number of shares, but all shares have diluted equally since so they simply reflect the companies progress over time. This is still a high risk company to invest in and might lead to nothing for investors at the end of the day. However state of art for Allogenic stem cells have been and will continue to be advanced by MSB, whether or not the company survives and prospers. A buyer on market today is taking on risk, a different risk than at company foundation to be sure, but still a very real chance of capital loss. I wouldn't write that off morally as not meaning anything.
