Does this mean that you still expect a further major downward movement in sharemarkets? Your previous post on 6 Sept implied (to me) that the breakout was positive for an upward movement of sharemarkets.
Given the support given by central banks (USA, Europe, Australia etc) to maintain liquidity and support banks generally, for how long do you think the sharemarkets around the world can avoid a major correction/crash?
The US will not officially go into recession until at least early next year, possibly not before reporting on the June 2008 quarter. Thats a long time to be out of the market. How much in advance of the official figures on GDP etc would you expect the US sharemarket to anticipate a recession?
