As I have suggested a number of times, I believe the major sellers responsible for what has been happening lately ( apart from those triggered by stop losses ) are doing it because they were unable to push their weight around with management as they expected they would be able to ... They are not acting in their best financial interests with the way they are exiting, but that wasn't their prime concern.

Anyway, their holdings are a limited resource, and the selling will eventually stop.
