The time line is pretty much as expected. Note that it will probably take 6 months to get approval from Medsafe and actually start commercial treatments. One big stroke of luck is that Barry Snow will be in a position to direct support for assessment and treatment through public hospital services.

Given that the first 100 patients will need close follow up it seems less certain that they would be from outside NZ. By the time those implants are done, 6 months for follow up, submission to FDA it would seem likely FDA approval could happen early 2020.

Good to see mention of Diabecell and to know research is still active. If something positive were to happen there the ball game could change dramatically.

My celebrations are on hold until the results are out.
