Hi all,

Up to this moment nobody has confirmed that EAF dust is a different beast to Baghouse dust.

Are they one and the same or two different potential income streams?

Further to acid recycling of waste pickling liquor from the galvanizing bath there maybe another potential source of Zinc/Aluminium that comes about because metal coated steel must be cleaned of an "oily" film prior to applying a paint coating.( think painted corrugated iron )

Do they recycle this solvent and its zinc and aluminium laden content......... or dispose of it by dumping it into the waste acid and it is then carted away.

Industrial chemists answer please !
