i studied what john tried to do,, where he failed in the perth basin, and i think i can why.. sour grapes.. BTW isnt ARQ in the perth basin???????????

there is no real confidence in the very sub standard texas stuff he had on offer.. i have seen better stuff on offer in the databases i use!! there is some good production leases that are not fully explored in live oak i think are interesting..

enough of this john dude, he's a sacked diplomat,, who cant get a company listed, some read his stuff,, industry scouts i speak to in australia have never heard of him!!

    end of story.

there is always a high rate of failures on the wildcat wells.. please let me explain something here.. it seems there are a few around here that dont get what happened..

any ordinary investor only see's one thing.. the jvp's presentation and believes the ole story of the well being targeting the hoston sands as a primary target..

thats how you got the story spun,,,

in the states,, the sugarloaf well was a TWO PHASE WELL run by TCEI...

PHASE ONE was the chalks and edwards...

PHASE TWO was the deeps,, including the Hosston sands..

    PHASE ONE.........

july 20 2006 TCEI puts in a wildcat permit to drill to 14500

    PHASE TWO............

Sept 25 2006 TCEI puts in a wildcat permit for the same well to 21,000 feet

NOW THIS IS HOW IT WENT ON THE WEEK BEFORE..

couch oil visited the well and saw what was happening, the JVP then decided to drill to 21,000 feet..

September 29 2006 he posts his report on the well!!

NOW READ THE FIRST LINE HERE ON COUCH OILS ANNOUNCEMENT....................

    Sugarloaf – Hosston – 1st phase a success

We have dug the well to 14,480’ and logged the upper sections.

Well was trying to flow back gas during the logging operations.

The Austin Chalk zone from 11,925’ to 12,200’ looks very oil productive. The log results may set us up to drill over 100 wells in offsetting lease (26,000 acres) to just produce the oil from that zone. The porosity is just about double from what is normally found NE of our well location. Some folks have successfully produced with as low as 3% porosity. We have 9 to 12% porosity.

The Edwards is from 12,275’ to 14,000’ looks tight or too dense to produce.

The Sligo formation begans about 14,500’

The Hosston (Objective) begans at 17,000’ Planned total depth is 21,000’.

This morning they are running 9 5/8” casing to 14,480’

    1st PHASE A SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i am not trying to point out the obvious,, but seriously, some people around here dont get it....

now believe a sacked diplomat john campbell if you like,, i believe the jvp.. and i believe couch oil..

    DYOR and all IMHO
