I disagree with this to some extent. I'm under the belief that if you genuinely want to make a lot of money, you're far better off going with option A. Option B is rather naive. There's absolutely no point preaching an overwhelmingly view of any company in the hope that it'd spread to others and increase the SP. Doing so, in my opinion, is nothing short of unconscionable conduct. I'd submit that a combination of both option A and B should be the way to go for any investment. If you've done your research and "dug up all the possible" negatives, then don't invest, and don't proceed to option B. If, and only if, they've managed to get through option A -- and it's apparent that there aren't any serious negatives, should B be acceptable. Trust me, not all of the "downrampers" are trying to lower the price of a stock. We're not all bad people; I certainly don't wish any loss upon any of the people here (except maybe one or two, because I'm well aware of what they've done outside of the forum). For me, if I'm voicing something here - even if it is negative - it's because I feel as though people deserve to be aware of any particular piece of information, and make their decision accordingly. Too many fall into the trap of B without having done A, and become either manipulated into holding (as a sheep to a shepherd poster), or lose money because they've not done their own research. Those with an alternative view, like you've said, probably have written off their investment or don't hold, but I can assure you this -- nine times out of ten they're trying to help those who may not have done their own research. Just my two cents.
