interestingly enough, if you think about it like you have, you come up with only one conclusion..

yes!!

you absolutley would drill a horizontal well out of SL1..

its beyond logic to assume they will just leave the well as a vertical, the chalks are not exactly the best geology to produce from in the vertical.. SL1 in my view will only test the zones, and the well is perfectly capable of becoming a horizontal well.


just think it through a little more.. and you may be able to second guess what conocophillips may do with kunde 1 and kunde 2.. there are 3 layers of productive chalks under the acreages, both there and in our region.. so whats stopping conocophillips from also putting in a horizontal with the kunde vertical wells?

if you think about it there could be in no time 4 or 5 horizontal wells in two or 3 zones of the chalks in a very short fashion using existing wells..

and they can easily also step out and drill new wells also on other acreages. into all the proven zones, which from the recent capital raisings and presentations is definately on the cards

if i remember right, re the Kunde 2 well, my research dont indicate it is a P&A!!! and i just checked again and its definately not a P&A..

its about time a real intelligent post came out kevro,, have to say compared to some of the other BB's this is the best question i have seen out there for months.. i like the way you think..

i gather its not too long now before we see a start at sugarloaf 1..
