I'm a member at the RACV club and stay there regularly both on my own and with my young family. If you want somewhere quiet that has a great gym, pool, breakfast included as well as a car park (if you need it) then it's a perfect place to stay in the CBD. Crown is only a short walk down the hill and then over the Yarra. Agree the vibe at the RACV is an older more sedate one and that Crown is "younger", depends on what you're looking for. If you go out for a big one you may need a quiet place to recover!
