Temcell has no proven efficacy?

MSB's clinical trial in aGVHD showed striking efficacy. Dumb luck again?

When I sent email the transplant expert got back to me within minutes. He couldn't discuss specifics but just the speed of response made me think perhaps MSB's stem cells are getting a reputation.

The world-wide transplant community must be quite small. I've asked if I can be put in touch with a Japanese doctor who has used Temcell in clinical practice. I believe medicine works best in an acute situation and the very best doctors are involved in rescue. I'll take what they say very seriously.

I'm particularly interested to know how well Temcell is handling intestinal bleeding, as it could be used for bowel rescue right now for IBD patients who are unlikely to survive surgery. There are similarities between GVHD and IBD when the gastrointestinal tract is involved.

We all like to say we're 'sceptics' which makes us sound smart and authoritative, like spouting Latin. But the thing that's really dear to my heart, having gone up against four apparently 'incurable' autoimmune diseases, is that it's important not to confuse sceptism with ignorance.
