"MacTiernan tells iron ore miners to bid for ports

WA's Planning Minister Alannah MacTiernan has told Yilgarn Infrastructure and Murchison Metals they will have to bid against each other for the port at Oakajee, north of Geraldton, as they failed to reach an agreement on sharing the infrastructure."

As predicted the infrastructure will be delayed for months maybe years while the tender process proceeds. It is almost inevitable that this will end up in court with lengthy appeals.

Again the incompetant WA State Government is going to stuff up the opportunity to sell into record high prices. For God's sake why can't the minister make the decision. Thats what the fool has been elected to do.

If you are waiting for an announcement on the winning bid for infrastructure, then don't hold your breath.
