Its quite simple logic. If an approved landfill site can get $103/T (net of the EPA Levy) or more, then why would they take any other product unless the rate is $103/T or more.

Conclusion 1.4M tones of MMRT PASS will not go into an approved landfill site. It will go into a site approved to take PASS, but not approved to take Landfill. Such a site will not have a price alternative of $103/T and will be able to negotiate a price free from Landfill price alternatives.

NAGs is such a site and we are yet to hear of any others that can take 1.4m tonne, let alone 24/7 and under all weather conditions. So NAGs is in a position to be a "Price Taker" - they can negotiate because they can take PASS profitably at $70/T or $103/T or even $30/T. Their costs are minimal, around $1/T, though Capex was involved in setting up roads, weighbridge etc.

The down rampers will not address this logic because they know its true. Its based on known Landfill Rates charged in Melbourne and the Opportunity Costs of different alternatives.
