Jesus is also reported to have said that those standing before him would not die before he returned in great power....two thousand years later we still 'know not the hour''
How sad, it's been nearly two years now since I first saw you present this sad claim of yours, which I keep seeing you presenting.
Those that are of God, hear God's word, you therefore hear them not, because you are not of God John 8:47.
Not my words, but I can't ignore them and as always, I look for answers in the Bible when I see such, as your claim above.
We can't present half truths, and need ALL the truth, so perhaps the above applies in this case or the following was an oversight by yourself.
John 14:18-19 (Jesus) I will not leave you comfortless: I will come t0 you.
19. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more, but ye see me; because I live, ye shall live also.
23. Jesus says, he and the Father will make their abode with them.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come into him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Acts 2:33 Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear = The Comforter.
Jesus and the Father can come to us, via the One Spirit, The Holy Spirit which is The Fathers Spirit.
The three verses you draw upon my friend and the references they are to = Thy Kingdom come and that HAS come, although not yet, "on earth as in heaven". Jesus's words here (the area you quote) are not with reference to the literal coming in the clouds.
The Matt reference, (not that is maters), the order of word presentation is questionable, going by the original Greek and Mark and Luke appear better presented.
I mentioned the above verse, "those that are of God, hear God's words", because that is relevant in light of what Jesus says, "there be "some" standing here" = Not necessarily all standing here will see and here because, they may not be of God, hence Not receiving the Spirit of Him and therefore not seeing and hearing Jesus.
With or prior to the above verse, Jesus says, if you don't believe the words he spoke, you are not of God.
As in Jesus's other words else where, His Sheep hear his voice.
