I have pointed out to you that Rev 12:7-12 referred to an event that had already taken place and not some future event.

Whereu, the Greek word translated Revelation has the basic meaning of "revealing",or "uncovering". It is the future recorded in advance.
(Isaiah 46:9, 10) Remember the former things of long ago, That I am God, and there is no other. I am God, and there is no one like me. 10 From the beginning I foretell the outcome, And from long ago the things that have not yet been done. I say, ‘My decision will stand, And I will do whatever I please.’
Revelation reveals things up to 1,000 years in advance.
(Revelation 20:1-3) And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven with the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 He seized the dragon, the original serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for 1,000 years. 3 And he hurled him into the abyss and shut it and sealed it over him, so that he would not mislead the nations anymore until the 1,000 years were ended. After this he must be released for a little while.
