bauxite versus alumina, page-9

fingers, best read on that subject matter to date as I think on the same lines.

points that interest me and i keep telling ppl:

    1) just four developing countries will use more aluminium, copper and oil by 2015 than the entire world consumed last year: - demand is going to be very strong for up to a decade. With supply coming on slowly, and other factors affecting supply which affect time (like world shortage of tyres, drill rigs and assay time results), natural economics kicks in - high demand, low supply equals.........

    2) Blackrock believes that the natural resources "super-cycle" - an unusually large and extended price cycle - is still relatively immature: - I have been telling ppl, and i will continue to tell ppl, this to me is a CORRECTION, that is, the world getting to the level it needs to be that it failed to do over the last 10-20yrs. fancy many countires ridiculously increasing infrastructure all at once all at huge levels

    3) Consolidation has dramatically changed the mining landscape, with the top three nickel producers controlling 72pc of the market, compared with 52pc in 2000. In aluminium, the top three control 34pc against 23pc seven years ago. + Takeovers had become the preferred route to expansion: - there will be a lot of this going on, consolidation and takeovers, esp for the hundreds of listed coys that only have one or two main projects that they are drilling for now. this means there is still a lot of money to be made!!!

1 thing the article sought of hinted at, but didn't mention, which i can't wait for is, CHINA's ECONOMY OVERTAKING THE USA's AS THE BIGGEST IN THE WORLD.......I recntly visited America, and the stereotype of the normal person american is true - arrogant ppl who know nothing about the world outside and who take too much risk due to their arrogance (sub-prime crisis). the chinese are the sleeping giant ready to awaken.
