= Hmmmm, so "if" they have it wrong, one is lead down a garden path, "A" Seed would be set which if at all, would be extremely hard to ever remove, So I say, "that" is bad advice.
My advice based around the message in John, The Spirit of truth, God's Spirit, The Holy Spirit and Jesus, will lead and teach you.
I would stand back and do a quick assessment and look at all the Christian faiths as a whole = hmmm so many differing views = "something" is wrong and this "Should Not" be = Caution required.
I would then work with John and 1 John and read it like a child alone.
Immediately in the opener of John In the Beginning was the Word hmmm.
Pop to the beginning in Gen and we see, and God said, and God said, and God said, and God said, hmm That's The Word that John's talking about.
OH wow 1 John 1:1-2 Says, that which was in the beginning which "we" have "heard" .......the word of life, which was with God and Was God in the Beginning, and Oh Wow again, God's first creation in Gen WAS His Alphabet, His Building blocks for EVERYTHING, HIS WORD and God said..........By the Word of the LORD were the Heavens made and all the hosts thereof, "By the Breath of His Mouth, hmmm words again, so clearly, I mean clearly, God WAS The Word in John 1:1.
Oh Wow again as 1 John 1:5 Says, GOD IS LIGHT!!! Hmmm I bet THAT is The True Light because, IT was the light to OT people's Feet and path.
Ok then, who is this John guy - The One in the wideness was the foretelling of God.
Mal 3:1 BEHOLD, (now that's a bold statement?) I will send my messenger (John), and he shall prepare the way before me (God): and the Lord, whom ye seek (Jesus), shall "suddenly" come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant........
Wow - That tells me, God and Jesus are coming, so that would seem, the Emanuel prophesy is going to happen.
Anyway, what were Abraham and David told, David was told, AFTER is died, a SEED of his in the future would come and NOT before, God said, I "will be" a Father to him and He "will be" a Son to me.
Wow again, God had this "future" one slain in "his future" plans and God who sees things as though they were finished, rejoiced, was excited, with all this Glory etc which Jesus mentions in John 17, the Glory I had with you in you plans before the world began and now going to become a reality, fulfilled.
Jesus then was to come and finish the Father work which was, to get people to receive the Fathers words which are Light, Seed, Glory, The Bread which was always with the Father, and they are Spirit as that's what God is and life to all people that accept and abide in it.
God being a Spirit and as there is Only One Spirit, logic tells us, His Spirit is the Holy Spirit, from which The Word comes From, Hence they ARE Spirit and LIFE and God IS Light.
So all the above Came and dwelt with and in Jesus, which the name Jesus means - God's Salvation.
So just as in OT Times, God came and dwelt in the (Human) Tent (Flesh) of Jesus. Hence the Word flesh became...... and we saw the glory of the both of them.
Jesus spoke the words of his God and Father because he had the Father Spirit from which the Word comes from, without measure, so that makes perfect sense.
Then Jesus said, hey guys, I'm gona be leaving and all the above (God) will be leaving to, but don't you worry "because" I will ask the Father and he will send that back for you and I will be coming also through this One Spirit of your God and my God, your Father and My Father, and we will make our abode with you (in your Tent) and in you, just as I have with my Father SO, eventually, Our God will be ALL IN ALL.
AND "we" (including Jesus) all become (children) lights of our Father "because" He is the Father of Lights, US.
However - As I told you, you must believe the words I have given to you, "from" my Father and believe that "I DID" in my Body, rise From the Dead AS I have shown You, Because I have flesh and bones and if you think not, Then I died for Nothing, because you are making it void.
So Mr G, Jesus brought with himself, HIS Fathers light and THAT is what he was showing US, and Jesus became the First of one, firstborn light of the Father.
While I am in the world, I am the light of the world BECAUSE the Fathers Light was IN Him, naturally when he left, that would go, hence the need or Jesus made way for it to come back into the world as never before, the comforter.
It was already in the world before Jesus came, but Not Like this.
So among all this Mr G, are the basics and from what I see of the JW's, not much of this is seen by them, So I'm sorry but I would have grave concerns promoting JW's message.
What does it all mean?????? I personally would add here,,,,, it's not up to me, however, having the whole truth would appear a very wise and smart thing to have.
John effectively from start to finish is ALL about The Word and how God's Salvation was going to be completed through Jesus.
You can't get it anymore clearer than Rev stating, Jesus is The Word OF God, which means, Word of The Word and NOT The Word.
