This is buying based on self-delusion not manipulation. This is 'true believer' stuff.
True believer stuff is reflected in postings here. These guys see questions as heretical. If they could get at us they would burn us alive on piles of discarded pine needles.
Instead they have to respond with cra ppy insults and, imputations of bad faith. They are pathetic true believers.
They would like this list to be as self-deluding as the HIH board, about which Justice Owen said: "There was blind faith in a leadership that was ill-equipped for the task. There was insufficient ability and independence of mind in and associated with the organisation to see what had to be done and what had to be stopped and avoided. Risks were not properly identified and managed. Unpleasant information was filtered and sanitised. And there was a lack of sceptical questioning and analysis when and where it mattered."
