to receive salvation the JW belief is that one must associate with the JW organisation.

Whereu, on a subject as important as this one there is a need for clarity. A person could associate with Jehovah's organization and not have Jehovah's approval. On the other hand there may be situations that make it impossible for a loyal one to associate (physically).
(2 Timothy 2:19) Despite that, the solid foundation of God remains standing, having this seal, “Jehovah knows those who belong to him,” and, “Let everyone calling on the name of Jehovah renounce unrighteousness.”
These ones are assured:
(Romans 8:38, 39) For I am convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor governments nor things now here nor things to come nor powers 39 nor height nor depth nor any other creation will be able to separate us from God’s love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
