your are right, BioR (or Ropren) is entirely composed of polyprenols, which are essentially the plant equivalent of mammalian dolichols. Dolichols are involved in the transport of proteins and glycoproteins (aren't they all), if I remember correctly. Apparently, polyprenols are metabolised to dolichols, but this is where the story ends as far as I know.

if you are thinking, wow, all I need to do is synthesize dolichols and I have reproduced Ropren. You are right.
