It makes sence, we can expect to see a company like platinum sell down prior to a major announcement they will probably continue until they get their original investment recooped, as hype and expectations can be expected to increase as the AGM or as initial clinical results draw near. However as nothing is guaranteed I expect it would make sence to a large investor to play it safe and pull out their original investent which in the case of Platinum will probably leave them holding perhaps around 6 or 7 %, which in the event of a positive trial result could still make them significant returns, or on the other hand if its a flop then they still atleast walk away with their original investment securely back in their bank account.
