Following is just a snippet as to what I keep in mind and try not to fall into, perhaps ALL should do the same as these verses are not just for some other person.
And those that keep putting forward the nonsense, there are much smarter people than you that have done much more study and they are professionals or experts - Bellow suggests, that is not an advantage and in fact, can or will work against you!
2 Cor 11:3 – But I fear, least by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.
2 Tim 4:3-4 – For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers having itching ears;
And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.
2 Thes 2:11 And for this cause, God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.
1 Cor 3:18-2 – Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he maybe wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.
Col 2:8 – Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
1 Cor 2:4-12 – And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit of power.
- That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.
- Howbeith we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to naught.
- But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory.
- Which none of the princes of the world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.
- But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
- But God hath revealed them to us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
- For what man knoweth the things of man, save the spirit of man which is in him? Even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
- Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
