Outlook never been better for JBM imo. Just been looking at the LME futures, and trying to put into JBM context.
Firstly I've held the opinion that the 27mth future was more relevant to valueing equities than the spot or 3 month. Esp when looking at a company such as JBM with production so future weighted. 27 mth now around 31500 (USD 14.3/lb). It was only higher for about 3 months, and then only by 10% at around 35000. Put in AUD terms the 27 mth must be within a whisker of all time highs.
Although the short dated futures peaked, the 27 mth was a much flatter plateau (indicating more realism), and we have recovered 2/3 of the fall. Conclusion - outlook for pon nearly as rosy as it ever was.
Secondly JBM. Since JBM sp peaked they have ramped up production plans 50% supported by:
1) continued high grade Cosmos area successes
2) the announced Sinclair mine (which will be adding to our divi's in 12 mths). Probably on par with Avebury in value when accounting for exploration/expansion potential.
Most of this years good news was captured in the highs of other nickel companies, not so JBM.
Thirdly, much more good news to come imo, as meanwhile they have been working on Anomaly1 - our real sleeper. HUGE. 2 years ago with 27mth pon around a third current levels it may even have appeared marginal, a year ago at 2/3 current levels and without the recent flood of cash, probably seemed very low priority for scarce CAPEX.
Imo it will be the low grade resource that will take us to $30, and sadly keep our divi growth in check while it devours cashflow. The long dated pon working on A1 - magic.
