Morning all. Happy Monday. I don't understand the scepticism re deal timing. The advisor was clearly in protracted negotiations with potential partners well before the latest results. The company has told us that. The basis/bases of potential partnering would have been set out in term sheets and draft docs. It went on hold for value reasons. The implication that it would have been pens down until the results were released shows a serious lack of understanding of how these deal processes work. The advisor will have been in continual dialogue with the interested partners. Keeping them warm. Maintaining the tension. Progressing the draft docs so they can stitch it up fast. That's how the industry works. Its rudimentary stuff. Remember, time is the enemy of these deals and advisors are generally paid minimal retainers and fees are overwhelmingly success based. Management are not new to these dynamics. They have been here before and they will appreciate all of that better than us.
So I understand that one or two here are sceptical but I most certainly am not. Am anticipating an announcement earlier than Bell Potter is.
