Harlee....it may come as a surprise to you that your idol, GJ, has actually got feet of clay....he may actually be like the rest of we mere mortals and be driven by the most common of human emotions, greed and fear! As I have been trying to point out, I still love the sector and will be holding my GBG regardless of the outcome of the merger proposals. My point is simply that I will in future be holding a totally different animal from the one in which I thought I was investing. If I had wanted exposure the the potentially higher rewards and the commensurate higher returns from a company holding a resource in a country about which little is REALLY known, I would have done so through investing in SDL. I was a holder of SDL but felt they had run too hard and sold them in the recent run-up. And finally, I really believe that despite the old "trust me, I'm GJ" attitude, the deal as it appears at present is too heavily skewed in favour of SDL and I will want to see a lot more than "a potential 1bill tonne resource" to justify it. My thoughts only.
