TheWord says:
"It was a joke, GrahamMac. Sheesh!!"
Dear TheWord,
My surname begins with 'Mac'.
I joke about a lot of things.
But never about money!
As for the reason, my paternal ancestors came from a small island off the west coast of Scotland that were (and still are) the home of the Clan MacFie.
Scots (as you may know) take money very seriously.
In Gaelic my clan name is Dubhsithe - which has several meanings - either dark-skinned or a skilled in the dark arts.
Since I'm fair-skinned, my surname can only mean 'son of dark magic'.
So watch it TheWord - or I'll turn you into a pink frog!
When all else fails...
... try group therapy.
