We will have to agree to disagree on this. I don't think the people of Wentworth voted for a PM and only a PM will do. I think that they voted for the Liberal Party or for Turnbull the local member, both of which apply whether or not he is PM.
A resignation would indicate that it was all about prestige and power for Turnbull's ego, not about public service. That will not be a surprise to many if it turns out that way.,
