Wotsup, here we have another interesting example of why there are multiple interpretations of some Biblical writings and why they do not have only one meaning that is so clear that "blind Freddie can see it."
Looking at the Greek, Luke 17:21 has at least 3 possible meanings, one of which is very different with different implications than the others.
KJV translates the relevant Greek words as "within you." An alternative is "inside you".
However
@MrGordon quotes the alternative "in your midst" claiming this was because Jesus was in their midst and represented the Kingdom of God. (Please correct me MrG if that is not what you are saying.)
My view (which is not based on Biblical translations) is that "within you" or "inside you" is more likely what Jesus was saying.
However, it also seems quite reasonable to claim the alternative "in your midst" which MrG and quite a few other Bibles chose.
I think you can safely add this to your quickly growing list of Biblical writings that have led to quite different interpretations.
