The cleanest way is to take the exit off market, either by approaching the Co directly, or through a full service broker.
Never had a position big enough to have to do it but exiting big on market is all about inventing liquidity. A seller might see an opportunity to buy a relatively small amount to raise the SP which encourages other money to follow that trend.
Once that buy stack looks strong enough, he will sell into it, with the outcome being a nett offload, and SP preservation.
Rinse and repeat.
I think we saw an example of that yesterday.
Best left to the full service experts IMO, unless you are extremely nimble fingered.
