I don't want to spoil the debate but all you need to do is forget the earlier events of "spiritual seeing of the kingdom of God" and concentrate on what DBT9 keeps posting about, ie the later discourse on the Mount of Olives.
Just show why what Jesus said refers to a far, far distant spectacular 2nd coming and end time rather than one expected within the disciples' generation ... as it says.

The image is not of pig headedness ... but very much of a dog with his newly dug up bone. Lots of growling and snapping when he thinks someone's trying to take it away !!
DBT9 may have forgotten that dogs, unlike cats, respond better to a quiet tickle behind the ear and a bit of friendly assurance when they will often share the slobbery bone so you can examine it more closely without fear of being bitten.
A cat if tricked into giving up something, will project complete indifference and insist it was freely given out of pity for you.
