    Recap:
    1) You are assuming all employees are on LinkedIn (or updated their LinkedIn).
    2) You either are assuming or have inside information on their compensation programme.
    3) You are assuming the CTO leaving somehow put them in a tech bind, despite new versions/functionality being released well after his departure as in there were no other tech resources who assisted in this effort, which is likely inaccurate.
    4) You are begging the question on the CTO's motives for leaving. Sometimes, people are not cut out for the new pressures of taking a company public and all of the requirements that entails. Leaving right after the IPO strongly indicates that potentially. That could be the reason and unless the CTO comes on here and tells us, we can only speculate.
