"It was obvious - open up the first post I attached here - that drilling is required and the funds that have been raised assuming they "are raised at 8.5c is what will aid in the process of JORC identification. If drilling fails price sinks, if it doesn't and the measured and indicated resource is closer to CLQ then SP rises significantly - simple, the drill but will determine the outcome"
That is all true scarpa - but my reading of the 31 October announcement is that the language was deliberately chosen to confirm that - based on the results achieved to date - the ultimate Flemington outcomes will mirror images those achieved at Syerston.
The 31 October announcement: “Australian Mines is in no doubt, following its 2017 drill program, that the Flemington and Syerston deposits are indeed two parts of the same ore body”
The drilling program has, in other words, confirmed SRK Consulting’s previous (March 2017) conclusion that “the Flemington deposit and neighbouring Syerston mineralisation constitute the same ore body”
While it is not stated that the mineralisation through the ‘ore body’’ is consistent and continuous, it is strongly implied in AUZ’s announcement “that Flemington and adjoining Syerston Project are two ‘halves’ of the same deposit”
And as also stated in the announcement, each cover approximately 50% of the Tout Complex (the geological unit that hosts the Flemington – Syerston deposit).
Bottom line, the announcement, in my view, is saying that AUZ is in no doubt that the Flemington deposit is in the same ‘ball park’ as Syerston.
The stated purpose of the 2018 drilling program is fine-tuning - that is, it is to confirm the exact percentage breakdown of the Flemington – Syerston deposit – again implying that existing geological knowledge tells them they are at least in the same ballpark.
While prudence requires waiting for the results of the drilling program, the VERY CLEAR message in the announcement is that Flemington is very likely to be as good as Syerston.
If that is proven, the MC implications are clear!
