Oh dear, just for you - I'll try again;
Now can you address this single point without jumping around in protestation?
Here in Following lies Your problem, which You keep jumping around or should I say Over and "the" single point that You cannot See.
Mark 8:34-38, 9:1 But we will just deal with the last two of "these" verses;
This is obviously in reference to it's proceeding verses - Whoever therefore shall be ashamed of me and sinful (not abiding in the above verses) and of my words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when he cometh in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.
9:1 AND he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, that there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power.
Now you see Dearest DBT, and considering all the "other" signs which proceed your verses below (another topic/event), the above is an entirely different event.
The "single" area above, says nothing about gathering anyone = ZEROOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Lets take what it says here - ''Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.'' - now you tell me why this does not mean ''Then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory. And then He will send forth the angels, and will gather together His elect from the four winds, from the farthest end of the earth to the farthest end of heaven.'' - and instead of what it says and what it means (a momentous worldwide spectacle/event) this is actually talking about some other event.
What event, if not the event it describes
As I have been trying to get through to you, for goodness knows how long, "I" have NOT been discussing or putting forward "these" events here "because" they are not part of the "single" event Mark 9:1 = Zero to do with.
The single event I have been putting forward IS - John 14 The Comforter section where Jesus says, greater works than he did, you will be doing, those that he is not ashamed of and him AND his words and Jesus says in this section, those that did this "would" see him and Acts 2:33 says, not only do they see, but they hear, the Holy Spirit = God and through God's Spirit Jesus comes and teaches one as well.
Then you have the Pentecost event = The same thing.
Matt 16:19 Simon was "given" the keys to the Kingdom because he believed Jesus was the Son of God and the reason he believed so was "because" God had revealed it to him. How, God's calls you with His word.
Hence the Kingdom is near, imminent, and "some" will not and did not taste death.
Only some because ALL didn't believe.
Col 1:13 Some where transferred into the kingdom of God.
Luke 17:20 The kingdom is within you.
Rom 14:17 The kingdom of God..............and joy "IN" the Holy Spirit.
Luke 11:20 If you cast out demons, the kingdom of God has come upon you.
1 Cor 4:21 For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power = The Holy Spirit.
So you see DBT and I don't expect you to know because from what I have been reading (peoples views on the Kingdom), it appears that many if not most, don't know what it is? And I find that staggering and sad.
The Kingdom IS The Holy Spirit, but one need to grasp, Spirit/Word or Spirit and The Word are ONE in the same or from this One = God.
Jesus is the head of this Kingdom, The Door and a kingdom has people and Boundaries The Holy Spirit and if the Word of Spirit (Spirit) is not in you, you don't come in or over the wall, the Holy Spirit. Like the ten virgins, but this latter part (virgins) is more to do with Your verses (latter) event, elect virgins, gathered.
At the moment, the kingdom is among other kingdoms, not yet on earth as in heaven, but the other kingdoms, will be removed, Jesus says, I do not know you, hence only gathers the elect.
A bit like the Tree of good and evil ATM.
