Nice try but you're trying to create an impossible hurdle.
If you want to apply that standard I guess you'll have to stop using any prescription drugs then given those trials are almost always paid for by the drug companies.
The simple fact is that the trials appear quite straightforward and independently conducted.
As long as they are conducted independently and according to accepted standards (double blind etc), who pays for them is neither here nor there.
