Zeta, I think your statement "If an individual at any age, has not dealt with previous grief issues, bought about by a range of life challenging crisises" perhaps points to the reason. Australia's welfare society, rather than producing adults vaccinated against lifes challenges, instead mollycoddles and protects them from experiencing failure, (and prevents them from learning the power of persistence and determination) And if any do get close to being able to experience real life in the raw, there always seems to be a councellor ready to step in to dilute the experience.
