It would take more than an hour....although Iran could do a lot of damage..especially to their oil production...within a few hours But Iranians would be feeling the effects of zero infrastructure as it is pounded and destroyed by US bombers with fighter escorts and ECM out of the UK - and other places (including Saudi). The US and UK (Bae would be standing on the PM's desk)....would protect Saudi Arabia. Even I don't like it - but that is the way it is.
I think the best solution is the US and resolute Europeans to step in and take the Gulf and administer it with an iron fist. But give Iran to the Russians. Everyone is happy.
