IT MAKES NO MENTION WHATS SO EVER ABOUT THE COSTS INCLUDING PROCESSING THE APPLICATIONS.

HERE IS THE ACTUAL LINE FROM THE ARTICLE

Daily detention costs vary from $415 a person at Baxter to $627 a day on Christmas Island

That is just he cost of detention compare to the national average cost in 1997 of $145 a day to keep a normal prisoner.

THAT IS $415 TO $627 TO DETAIN - NOT DETAIN AND PROCESS.
