A valuable history lesson I will use this time from Rich Dad (aka 'Blackrock')

About 8-10 years back Blackrock bought a large stake in 'Aurox Resources' (AUX). It was an Iron Ore exploration company in WA, but the asset that gave it value wasn't it's IO, but it's port capacity it held at Utah Point (Port Hedland). At that time IO was soon to enter the big demand squeeze from China that saw prices go through the roof (up to around $190 a tonne in early 2011) and any spare port capacity became worth it's weight in gold..... and as such the ambitious Atlas paid a hefty script price for buying out Aurox in 2010. By default Blackrock thus took up a minor stake in the larger Atlas Iron....... but being the savy investors, they didn't stick around for the IO supply to catch up with the demand and sold out of their Atlas holding a couple of years later at a very handsome profit while IO was still well above the $100 a tonne and Atlas was trading with a leading $ symbol instead of a cent symbol.

So when I saw that Blackrock bought into the Altura capital raising at around 20cents the other week (what a bargain they got there by the way!) that gave me confidence that we are still in the early stages of the Lithium bull run and Altura is a great horse to ride. So the lesson I learnt from the IO Boom Bust is to treat Blackrock as the 'canary' down the mine, so when they start selling down their stake (hopefully we'll get wind of it when they do)..... that will be the time when I seriously assess my Lithium holdings aswell.

    Until then....... enjoy the ride
