While I would love to believe that this will automatically translate to equally massive rise in cobalt price, I do think we have to step back and understand there is a limit to what battery makers (and buyers) will be able to pay for cobalt.

At some price point, alternative options become economic... research progresses, and the expensive options lose their luster.

This takes time, but progress is already being made to find cheaper alternatives.

Just because batteries are going to be in huge demand in that time frame, does not mean Cobalt ones will...
