well according to Keith Woodford who knows a bit about this stuff there are famers in the USA who can convert their herds to a2/a2 very, very quickly as they already have huge numbers of these cows. Hopefully A2M has tapped into this and gets a jump on the opposition.
To create these herds these farmers may have used the A2M hair analysis test which legally ties them into supplying A2M or they may have used a blood test which is more time consuming or they may just have bred for a2/a2 in the last few years and built up the herds that way. Who knows but, at least in the USA, there is no real restriction to a significant supply of milk, if you can access those cows.
