Just want to add a little historical perspective.
The major Abrahamic religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islamic, originated from Abrahams and carry on by his progenies.
Abraham came from present day Iraq and his people and his descendants were semites.
All Jews, Christians and Muslims follow the same God - the God of Abraham. Yup, the very same one. So it amazing and ironic that there is so much fighting and killing of each other.
Any way, his two sons - Ismael and Isaac would later have their own interpretation of the religion that Abraham had passed onto to them - although they both still follow the same God as Abraham - just a different interpretation of what their father (Abraham) had taught them.
Ismael's descedants would later call that religion Islam.
And Isaac's descendants would later call their religion Judaism. Also note, from Isaac's descendants (Judaism), Jesus and his followers would later split and Christianity as a religion would evolved.
Of course, there were many splits over time. But the main three were Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Note, all follow the same God - the God of Abraham. And the fundamental tenets of their teachings from God - like the Ten Commandments are the same in Judaism, Christianity and Islam.
Where they differ over time are the interpretations from the original words of God and follow up edicts (updates if you like) from God that their prophets received.
For example, Jesus received messages from God (the same God as Abraham) and his teachings would become laws that Christians would follow - in addition to laws such as the Ten Commandments.
And Muhammad received messages from God (the same God as Abraham) and his teachings would become laws that Muslims would follow - in addition to laws such as the Ten Commandments.
Jews did not and still do not believe Jesus was a prophet or the son of God. Furthermore, they did not and still do not believe Muhammad was a prophets sent by God.
Muslims on the other hand, believes Jesus was a prophet and they also believed Muhammad was the last prophet sent by God.
So over centuries, millions of people from all sides were killed simply because of differences over who were the "true believers" of God - the same God as the God of Abraham.
Any way, in modern era - most Jews and Christians have modernized their interpretations of God and his prophets' teachings.
However most Muslims have not; they believed this would be against the original teachings of God and his prophets - they see any modernization of their religious books as a sacrilege - especially those who follow wahhabism.
It is tragic how things have evolved over time. But it is what it is.
AIMHO.

Your disclaimer is duly noted.

True or not? But most Jews, Christians and Muslims I know dispute the notion that they follow the same God. A critical point of difference is their perception of Jesus Christ.
