I find it a bit bizarre that they would not have set up from the start to include the results at the 12 month period as well as an indicator. In one month we will have that data and it could show that the placebo patients have deteriorated and the 40 and 80 microcapusle patients have improved further and yet that cannot be used as a reason to continue. They may as well have run all the tests concurrently and not the 6 month stagger. So we have waitednearly 18 months to here results some of which were known 12 months ago ( by the controller) . I also find the Placebo factor somewhat ridiculous. We know it has to level back over time unless all you have to do to reverse PD is drill a 0.5mm deep hole in someones skull. I always felt they should have run 2 of each of the doses at each phase then they would have had a result for 40,80 and 120 at 6 ,12 and 18 months now with two patients in each category for each dose. Maybe a short period to confirm no reaction to high dosage in bewteen. Seems a poorly designed experiment on reflection with high likelyhood of failure if you can only count 6 months and known placebo component ( i am sure they had said before Placebo effect goes typically after 3 months)!. Hind sight!
