But those people don’t want to run the country. They aren’t prepared to lie and deceive their way into power. Nor do they want to deal with the self-centred lobbyists and power groups that infest Canberra. It’s axiomatic that those who are best suited to rule, don’t want the job. And they’d never be voted in anyway, as they would only want to do what is needed, rather than what is wanted.
